All Day DevOps, the world’s largest DevOps conference, is back. We had over 33,000 people attend last year, and this year it’s about to get even bigger. It’s 24 hours, online, and free, so mark your calendar for October 17th.

This year, the conference will feature 100+ half-hour sessions across 5 different tracks in all time zones, simultaneously. Track subjects include CI/CD, Cloud Native Infrastsructure, Cultural Transformations, DevSecOps, and SRE.

This is a can’t miss conference, and luckily, it’s online so you’ll be able to access it anywhere, anytime, with anyone. So why not host an All Day DevOps party with your colleagues and enjoy the conference together in a low-cost way?

Hosting a party starts with one simple step: registering online for All Day DevOps 2017. It’s free and takes 30 seconds (20 if you’re a fast typer!). From there, it’s a piece of cake, and to help make this process even easier, we put together a list of tips to so that your party is sure to be a success:

Promote your party: Let us know if you’re planning a viewing party and we can help you advertise it on our site and spread the word through social media postings. Also, once you tell us about your viewing party, we’ll send some swag (e.g., stickers, T-shirts) to help you all get in the All Day DevOps spirit. On the day of the conference, be sure to follow @AllDayDevOps to stay updated on the conference’s latest news. If you make a catchy Twitter hashtag, we’ll follow your party and give you the shoutouts you deserve as we live-Tweet.

Location, location, location: Pick a board room, cafeteria, or any open space and secure it for October 24. As long as you have one internet-accessible screen, you’re golden and ready to participate in All Day DevOps.

Invite your friends: The best way to do this is through an online group - think Facebook, Meetup, Eventbrite, Evite… anywhere to make directing them to the All Day DevOps registration page and your viewing party easy for everyone. Be sure to remind them that registration is absolutely 100% free. On the days leading up to the conference, get on social media and start hyping everyone up!

Make it fun: What’s great about All Day DevOps is that it can be whatever you want it to be. Our advice? Make the online conference a total experience for your guests - not just an online lecture. Order in pizza, pick up some beer (or wine), play music during breaks, make it a themed party, you get the idea. Be as creative as you want with it, have fun, and be sure to take pictures, snapchats, tweets, etc. and share them with us.

Lunchtime viewing parties: Can’t take the whole day off to participate in All Day DevOps? No worries, we’ve got you covered - make a lunchtime viewing party with everyone in your office instead. You gotta eat at some point, right?

DISCLAIMER: All Day DevOps is a vendor free zone (no vendor pitches allowed). We want the focus to be purely DevOps, so this policy is strictly enforced.

So what are you waiting for? Register today for All Day DevOps and tell your friends to do the same so you can all watch the conference together. Remember, friends don’t let friends DevOps alone, so be a good friend and set up an All Day DevOps party!
