A few months ago, I joined a new company, and they were in the middle of building their infrastructure as code, platform as a service - fully cloud native microservices architecture. I had previously worked with Ruby on Rails - a monolithic (read: single codebase) bare metal application. Throughout this session, I want to share my unique experience with this transition and the shift in mindset I had to make to understand this new and exciting infrastructure.
Suhavi is just your average Gen Z who loves to code. As a result of forced social isolation due to COVID-19, she has found solace in virtual tech conferences and joined communities such as Women Who Code, Gitcoin and Medium. She has also mentored at local hackathons like SheHacks and ElleHacks. When she is not busy implementing microservices at work, she can be found coloring her Github commit history green.
