I’ve been writing code for the last 10 years. Now, I'm working at Soluto for the last three years as a Software Developer and Security Champion.
Session: Can Kubernetes Keep A Secret?
So, you wanna deploy your code on Kubernetes platform? Things might seem simple (assuming you already have a cluster) - just grab some manifest files, build a docker image and you’re done. Your application is now running on Kubernetes! Congratulations! Wait, what about the database password you need to pass to the application? How do you plan to achieve that? You might consider using Kubernetes Secrets for that. That could work - but where do you plan to store the Secret’s manifests files securely?
We faced the exact same problem at Soluto, and we had quite a journey until we found a solution that we are happy with (and for that reason we decided to release it publicly as an open source project). Join me for this session to hear our story and learn about all the different options to manage secrets on Kubernetes platform - so you could choose the solution that works best for you.
