Session: A Year with GitOps in Production. Retrospective.

In 2018 loveholidays has migrated from on-premise to GCP's GKE. In this journey we abandoned our do-it-all Jenkins and embraced minimalistic Google Cloud Build for CI/CD needs. We decided outright that we want a declarative, source-controlled system of deployment and change management. GitOps came to the rescue.

In this session, you will:
get a fresh perspective on shortcomings of traditional CIOps systems
learn about the cloud native aspects for the Continuous Delivery
learn about GitOps, its inner workings and available implementations
see reference end-to-end CI/CD architecture with Google Cloud Build and GitOps which has flawless managed over 15'000 deployments to date
