Session: Fences & Gates - Designing Ops For DevOps

As organizations mature in their DevOps journeys, the technology environments they control tend to become more dynamic and include a broader set of services and components. During this process some existing process constraints are mitigated by automation, while new ones are also introduced. This session will define and describe a framework for designing new operational processes based on firm policy guardrails (fences) and the points where those policy boundaries interconnect (gates). This framework is based upon input and feedback from multiple customers coupled internal experiences throughout journey to SaaS delivered services.
