DevOps and open source have a shared history and a shared stake in the future of technology. Open source helped enable the DevOps movement, and as DevOps matured, open source matured with it. In this session you’ll learn how open source development principles like collaboration and transparency set the stage for the ideal DevOps culture. In this session we will review how these practices historically evolved together and where the state of the industry is moving next.
Brian works at The Linux Foundation focusing on identifying, sharing and promoting development best practices in the open source software community. Brian has spent over 22 years as a software professional in multiple domains including engineering, QA and management, all with a focus on optimizing software development and delivery. Prior to his role at The Linux Foundation, he led an agile transformation consulting practice helping organizations small and large implement CI, CD and DevOps.
